Random | Not Having the Right Equipment

Hey guys! Today I wanted to talk a little about how I blog.
I preface this with saying I'm not trying to make excuses. These are just facts.

A couple posts ago I wrote a Random Facts tag. In the tag I talked about my love of starting new hobbies and not actually doing the hobbies. You can almost say my hobby is to collect the equipment required for various hobbies.

In 2010 I spent a lot of money collecting make-up. At one point that year I purchased over $300 of mica and other chemicals so that I could press pigments. I've purchased an insane amount of fabric, and yes I have attempted to make things like quilts and cloths but I've never completed anything that I'm proud of.

I love trying new things but I get frustrated with myself when I'm not proficient after one go. Ridiculous but that's just me.

I want to blog but sometimes I have no idea what I want to write about. I loved writing about my Accutane treatment but now that it's over I need to find something new. I'm not a blogger that writes just to write. I can't even say that I'm good at writing but I love talking to you guys. Forgive my grammar mistakes. I do try to proof read my posts after writing them but I get excited and hit 'publish' more, often then not, too soon.

One of the major benefits of having a blog is that you can blog  about anything. It can be beauty, technical, an archive of your thoughts or treatments. You just have to let your mind wonder. Your blog grows/matures as you do. You can modify the direction you want to take your blog easily. No apologies are required.

I had promised myself that I would wait until I knew I was committed to blogging before I purchased an expensive camera or desktop I have hobby commitment issues. I can't believe I was so afraid to do what I'm best at. Over investing.

When it came time to renew my contract, I purchased the name of my blog, it was a surprise how long it took me to renew. I took a fair bit of time to really think if I wanted to continue blogging. My answer obviously was yes.

Okay... So, how does the magic happen?

Currently I'm using a very old PC that is on its last leg. I can't even fully use the mouse. Prior to blogging at home I had been blogging on the Dell PC we have at work that was basically built for 'gaming'. The software that it runs is pretty crazy and I runs like a dream. I've been trying to put a stop to blogging at work even if it is during my 'off' hours because it's not appropriate.

The camera that I use is a basic point and shoot (Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS 12.1MP Digital Camera - Black) that I purchased last year.

What amazing editing software do I use? Let me tell you. It's called word. What?? Ya, Microsoft Word. Can't use it to check my spelling but I do use it to edit photos.

I have an Ottlite VisionSaver Plus Preston Desk Light that I use when taking pictures. It will one day give me a seizure. Upon turning the death lamp on it flashes like crazy.

And that's it. That's how I create the magic of blushing appraisal.

I do my own HTML edits. I have been tempted to pay someone to professionally edit my blog but I'm conflicted. Editing the HMTL code is super fun! I don't know why I love it so much. Not true. I love change. I love changing the look of my blog and that's probably why I can't justify paying someone. :(

My blog is small but I love it. I'm so happy that I started. If you don't have a blog... What are you waiting for? It's rewarding in more ways than you might think. It's not about receiving products or money. I've been offered to review products/services. The beauty is, I get to choose.
I am blushing appraisal.... geez that sounded scary.
Any-hoo, talk to you soon Pretty Bee!
